New Delhi: In a recent survey conducted to draw some insights on gastrointestinal health of urban Millennials and Gen Z (ages 25-34) Nearly half (46.4 per cent) of the participants have reported symptoms including constipation and bloating, while 32.1 per cent reported recurring monthly gut health issues.
During the survey undertaken by Leucine Rich Bio 77.8 per cent of the respondents claimed that gut health issues caused anxiety and mood swings, and 89.3 per cent attributed decreased energy levels and physical performance to poor gut health.
The primary study also revealed a link between gut health and skin disorders, with 57.1 per cent of participants reporting conditions like acne and dryness that they believe are stomach-related. 64.3 per cent of the total respondents cited irregular eating habits, whereas 85.1 per cent associated stress as the key factors to their gut health difficulties.
Moreover, 96.4 per cent of participants expressed gut health has a direct impact on mental health, energy levels, and immunity.
The findings underscore the need for tailored therapies and improved access to resources for gut health care. Improved awareness campaigns, stress-reduction measures, and healthier eating habits are critical for empowering Millennials and Generation Z to address gut health issues and improve their overall well-being.
