Bayalata Academy awards to be presented in last week of December

Bagalkot-based Karnataka Bayalata Academy has announced honorary and annual awards for 2023-24 and 2024-25.

The honorary award carries a cash prize of ₹50,000, along with a citation. The annual awards carry a cash prize of ₹25,000 each, with a citation. The award ceremony is likely to be held in the last week of December.

Awards for 2023-24

The honorary awardees for the year 2023-24 include D. K. Rajendra (Byalata Scholars) – Mysore district, Sidrama Satappa Naika (Sannata) – Belagavi district, Narayana Pattara (Sri Krishna Parijata) – Bagalkot district, Omkaramma (Doddata) – Bellary district, and K. Imamsab (Doddata) – Koppal district.

The annual awardees for 2023-24 include K. Ramchanda Rappa (Doddata) – Vijayanagar district, Krishnappa Pujar (Sri Krishna Parijata) – Bagalkote district, K. M. Raghupalaya (Doddata) – Chitradurga district, Malleshappa Na. Bhajantri (Doddata) – Haveri district, Amaresh Thimmaiah (Doddata) – Raichur district, Chandravva Neelappanavar (Sannat) – Belagavi district, M. Badappa (Doddata) – Davangere district, Rudrappa Salunke (Bayalata) – Vijayapura district, Chukkanakallu Ramanna (Doddata) – Vijayanagar district and Tippanna Doddegowda (Mudalapaya Bayalata) – Tumakuru district.

Awards for 2024-25

The honourary awardees for 2024-25 include H. M. Pampayaswamy (Doddata), Gangamma (Doddata), Thimmanna Channadasara (Doddata), Eshwarappa Basappa Halagani (Shrikrishna Parijata) and Shivanna Biradara (Doddata).

The annual awardees for 2024-25 include Gug Mallaya (Doddata) – Bellary district, Bharamappa Mallappa Sattennavara (Sri Krishna Parijata) – Belagavi district, Balamma Katappa (Doddata), D. M. Yariswamy (Doddata), Ganappa Madara (Sri Krishna Parijata), Shankarappa A. B. (Moodalapaya) , Kotgi Haleshappa (Doddata), Rudragowda Biradara (Doddata), Chennaveerappa Mudalingannavara, (Doddata), and K. Honnuraswamy (Togalugombeyata).
