SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA) has appealed to the engineering fraternity, especially mechanical engineers, to deliver efficient and uninterrupted public services during the challenging winter months. Their call emphasises the need for sustained efforts in critical areas to uphold their legacy of service.
JKMEGA urged engineers to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply through lift schemes and tanker services, as well as mechanised snow clearance to maintain road connectivity and essential hospital support systems such as HVAC units and oxygen plants. The association also stressed the need for effective dewatering operations to mitigate waterlogging and reduce public inconvenience.
JKMEGA President Firdous Ahad Bhat praised the relentless dedication of engineers across departments, including Power Development, R&B, Jal Shakti, and Housing & Urban Development. He commended their prioritisation of public welfare and their commitment to maintaining essential services under adverse conditions.
