Kashmir-based NGO to send one lakh bricks, other aid to fire-hit Warwan : Valley Vision

Srinagar, Oct 29: An NGO in Kashmir Tuesday said that it will be sending aid this Friday to the fire-hit Warwan valley in J-K’s Kishtwar.

Earlier this month, over 50 residential homes and a grand mosque was ruined after a devastating fire engulfed almost the whole hamlet in J-K’s Warwan.

The NGO, Syed-ud-Sadat Foundation said their aid would involve one lakh bricks in 16 dumpers and 11 tippers, 500 sheets to build roofs in one truck, and other edible items in another truck.

In a handout, the NGO said, it will also be taking school bags, and other stationery items for around 400 children affected by the fire.

The NGO, established in 1985 as per their handout, called for more support from the people of Kashmir to assist them in amplifying the humanitarian aid to the fire-hit region.
