LOSC LIlle accept Man United’s €50 million offer for Leny Yoro – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United have had a bid for Lille’s Leny Yoro accepted, according to journalist Nabil Djellit.

The reporter states that “It is clearly superior to Real Madrid’s proposal, far from having finalized the deal.

“The player’s priority remains Real but Manchester United pushes.”

United fans had resigned themselves to defeat over the generational talent when the player repeatedly made it clear – according to the media – that he wanted to join Real Madrid, and only Real Madrid.

However, this does not seem to have deterred United’s part-owners, Ineos, who are clearly pushing ahead with a potential deal.

Yoro reportedly has a €78 million release clause in his contract but with that deal expiring in a year and the player refusing to sign an extension, Lille have accepted that they need to accept a lower bid.

Their asking price is €60 million, which United’s bid comes close to meeting.

It is also considerably more than the €35 million that los Blancos are willing to pay as they look to replace the outgoing Nacho.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, “Real Madrid remain confident on Leny Yoro deal as the player’s giving them absolute priority, his dream is Real.

“PSG, Liverpool and also Man United have been insisting again in the last 10 days, Yoro’s waiting for Real Madrid.”

Negotiations ongoing with Lille.

Real would seem to have no intention of bidding as high as United reportedly have and are banking on the player refusing all other offers and waiting out his contract, or Lille accepting their incoming lowball bid.

This is a tactic that has worked in the cases of Kylian Mbappe, David Alaba and others, although it is always a gamble for a young player like Yoro, who for example could find himself in the wilderness if he were to have a bad season or pick up a bad injury over the next 12 months.

These are facts that United will be hoping to point out to the player and his entourage as they aim to beat football’s transfer Goliath with their slingshot.
