2 soldiers, 2 civilian porters killed in militant attack on Army convoy in Gulmarg : Valley Vision

Two army men and two civilian porters working with the Army were killed in a militant attack near the Line of Control in Kashmir’s Gulmarg sector.
The attack also left three army men injured.
The attack came hours after Lt Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting in Srinagar to review the security situation in light of back to back attacks in the past week.
The Indian Army’s Chinar Corps in a post on X confirmed an exchange of fire happened between Army and militants in the general area of Baramulla’s Butapathri.
The attack on the army vehicle was the second in the Union Territory in the last 72 hours.
Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah offered his condolences to the families of those killed.
“Very unfortunate news about the attack on the army vehicles in the Boota Pathri area of North Kashmir which has resulted in some casualties & injuries,” Abdullah wrote on X.
“This recent spate of attacks in Kashmir is a matter of serious concern. I condemn this attack in the strongest possible terms & send my condolences to the loved ones of the people who lost their lives. I also pray that injured make a complete & swift recovery,” he added.
