Dr Farooq, Omar, others pay respect to JKNC founder on his 119th birth anniversary

Srinagar, Dec 05: National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah, vice president Omar Abdullah (who is also chief minister J&K), and others on Thursday paid respect to party founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on his 119th birth anniversary. The leaders visited the grave of JKNC founder at Hazratbal, Srinagar and offered Fateha Khawani there.

Besides, thousands of party workers attended the event and offered prayers to their leader.

Reports said that NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah, vice president Omar Abdullah and other senior leaders visited the Qaid Mazar in Hazratbal where they offered Fateha Khawani.

Omar Abdullah’s sons Zahir and Zamir were also seen at the grave, offering Fateha Khawani to their grandfather Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.

Senior party leaders and activists shed light on the contributions of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah towards people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially in terms of education, health, and land reforms.
