Inter-Services tennis championship: Sriram Balaji meets Mohit Mayur in semifinals

Olympian Sriram Balaji eased past Vikrant Dahiya 9-1 in the quarterfinals of the 76th Inter-Services tennis championship organised by Indian Navy at the DLTA Complex on Thursday.

Balaji had earlier knocked out the top seed Ajay Malik 9-6 in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, Balaji will play fellow former national champion Mohit Mayur. The other semifinal will be between Suraj Prabodh and second seed Manish Ganesh.

The results:

Singles (quarterfinals): Sriram Balaji bt Vikrant Dahiya 9-1; Mohit Mayur bt Sunil Kumar 9-3; Suraj Prabodh bt D Pagalavan 9-0; Manish Ganesh bt Eklavya Singh 9-1.

Pre-quarterfinals: Balaji bt Ajay Malik 9-6; Vikrant bt Faisal Qamar 9-8(11); Mohit bt Rishabh Agarwal 9-6; Sunil bt Kaza Vinayak Sharma 9-3; Pagalavan w.o. Dalwinder Singh; Suraj bt Rishabh 9-0; Eklavya bt Akash Katewa 9-3; Manish bt Vansh Bisht 9-6.
