Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 crosses US $ 500,000 mark for its premiere shows in USA | Telugu Movie News

The success of Baahubali, Kalki 2898 AD, and Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire has highlighted a vast market for Telugu films in the U.S. where the language has become the 11th most spoken one. And now, all eyes are on Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 – The Rule to expand the market as it gears up for its release on December 5th.

The film is a sequel to Allu Arjun’s National Award film Pushpa- The Rise which released in 2021. With 27 days to go for the release of the film, its advance booking is setting up the stage for a huge roar at the box office. The film has already made more than half a million dollars in advance booking for its premiere shows.
Pushpa 2’s current booking stands at over US $ 534000 ( Rs 4.5 crore) from over 800 locations having sold nearly 20000 tickets. As the release date nears, more locations and shows will be added to the mix, and the film’s breakeven is pegged at US $ 15 million. And its distribution deal in the territory has been done on a refundable basis, in case the film fails to cross the required mark the producers will have to bear the brunt of it.
The film is also carrying a lot of expectations in India as well , as distributor Anil Thadani has paid almost Rs 200 crore for its North India distribution rights. The first installment had made Rs 106 crore from its Hindi version, while its India collection stood at Rs 267 crore.
Pushpa 2 also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil , Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj. The film will be clashing with Vicky Kaushal, Laxman Utekar and Dinesh Vijan’s Chaava on 6th December.
