Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ crosses Rs 1000 crore mark at global box office in a record-breaking six days
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has achieved a remarkable milestone, earning Rs 1000 crore at the global box office in just six days. This makes it the fastest Indian film to reach this feat .Directed by Sukumar, the film is a sequel to the 2021 Telugu blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. Released on December 5, it features dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam.
Production banner Mythri Movie Makers, which bankrolled the project, shared the latest box office figures on social media, revealing that the film has grossed Rs 1002 crore.
In the coveted Rs 1000 crore club, Pushpa 2 joins films like Aamir Khan’s Dangal, Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 and Kalki 2898 AD, SS Rajamouli’s RRR, and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan.
The Hindi version of Pushpa 2, whose trailer was launched by Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in Patna last month, has amassed Rs 375 crore in net box office earnings, according to another post from Mythri Movie Makers.
In the sequel, Allu Arjun reprises his role as Pushpa Raj, a laborer-turned-sandalwood smuggler, alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
The original film, also directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, was a commercial success, earning over Rs 300 crore in India and establishing a strong fan base beyond the traditional Telugu-speaking audience.
Pushpa 2: The Rule also stars Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj.
