Car Accident in Sonamarg Injures Four, Two in Critical Condition

   

SRINAGAR: Four people sustained injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident near Gagangeer in the Sonamarg area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials reported.

An official told the news agency JKNS that the accident occurred near the Forest Checkpost at Gagangeer when an Alto vehicle (registration number JK16C-3386) skidded off the road and collided with roadside stones.

The mishap left four passengers injured, who were immediately taken to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Kullan for treatment. Two of the injured, identified as Momin Ahmed Magray and Irfan Ahmad Thakrey, were later referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced medical care.

The remaining injured, Sameer Ahmed Shargojri and Sahil Ahmad Magray, received treatment at the PHC. All four victims are residents of Cherwan, Kangan.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident. (JKNS)
