The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will release the CAT 2024 admit cards today, November 5, 2024 as per official notification. Candidates who have registered for the exam can visit the official website, iimcat.ac.in to download their hall tickets once it is issued by the official authorities. The registration window for CAT 2024 started on August 1, 2024, and closed on September 20, 2024. The exam is scheduled to be held on November 24, 2024.
The CAT exam is a gateway for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate and doctoral-level business programs at Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), as well as several non-IIM institutions that consider CAT scores in their selection process. After qualifying in the CAT exam, aspirants will undergo further selection rounds at IIMs. Details on admission policies for each IIM are available on their respective websites.

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned here to download the CAT admit card 2024 from the official website.

  • Visit the official website at iimcat.ac.in.
  • Move to the IIM Calcutta homepage and locate the CAT 2024 admit card link after its release.
  • Click on ‘CAT 2024 admit card’ (when available), and a new window will open.
  • Enter your login details and select submit.
  • Your CAT 2024 admit card will appear; download and print it for future use.

CAT 2024 Exam Pattern

The CAT 2024 exam will consist of three key sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). Candidates will have a total of 120 minutes to complete the exam, with each section restricted to 40 minutes, preventing any switching between sections. The exam will contain 66 questions in both multiple-choice (MCQ) and Type-In-The-Answer (TITA) formats. Marking scheme includes +3 points for correct answers and a -1 penalty for incorrect MCQ responses.
