Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met around 150 citizens during the Janata Darshan held at the Gorakhnath Temple on Sunday and reiterated his commitment to provide housing for underprivileged through govt schemes and offering full financial support for treatment of individuals with severe illnesses.
The CM emphasised govt’s dedication to delivering benefits of welfare schemes to every eligible individual and resolving issues effectively. He directed officials to respond promptly and sensitively to public grievances. Some women raised the issue of not having pucca houses and CM assured them durable housing through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana.
Many people sought financial help for medical treatment and the CM assured no one’s treatment would be hindered for lack of funds and instructed officials to prepare estimates promptly for advanced treatment and submit them for immediate govt approval and funding.
He also emphasised effective use of Ayushman Bharat cards, instructing officials to ensure that beneficiaries faced no difficulties during treatment.
Addressing crime and land-grabbing complaints, Yogi instructed police to take stringent action against criminals and land mafias. He emphasised that anyone—a strongman or a mafia—occupying another’s land illegally must face strict consequences. He directed no leniency be shown towards those who displaced or exploited the poor.
During Janata Darshan, the chief minister also interacted with children accompanying their families. He blessed them with affection, encouraged them to focus on their studies and delighted them with chocolates.
