Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2024: The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has reopened applications for the Haryana Police Constable Recruitment. This comes after the release of the revised Common Eligibility Test (CET) results, as per a High Court order. The Supreme Court recently rejected a petition that sought five bonus marks based on social and economic criteria.As a result, the revised CET results were released on June 25 without these bonus marks.
Candidates who passed the CET must re-register for the Haryana Police Constable Recruitment. The application period is from June 29 to July 8, 2024. Those who applied earlier, from February 20 to March 28, do not need to apply again. Their socio-economic criteria claims will be removed. If eligible candidates want to apply again, they can use the link provided by HSSC.
The recruitment process for 6,000 Constable (General Duty) positions in Haryana Police was first announced in February. Of these, 5,000 posts are for male candidates, and 1,000 posts are for female candidates. The reservation for 5,000 male positions is as follows: General category (Non-ESM ESP) – 1,800, SC – 900, BCA – 700, BCB – 400, EWS – 500, ESM-GEN – 350, ESM-SC – 100, ESM-BCA – 100, and ESM-BCB – 150.
Eligibility
• Education: Candidates must have passed the 12th grade. They should have studied either Hindi or Sanskrit in the 10th grade.
• Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 and 25 years old as of February 1, 2024. Due to delays in the recruitment process and COVID-19, the government has given a three-year age relaxation. Thus, unreserved category candidates up to 28 years old can apply. For EWS, SC, and ST candidates, the age limit is 18 to 33 years. For OBC candidates, the maximum age is 31 years.

Application Process
Reserved category candidates from Haryana will get age relaxation as per state rules. Candidates can apply online through the official HSSC recruitment portal.
Selection Process
The selection process includes a physical test and a Knowledge Test. Candidates are shortlisted for the physical test based on their CET scores. The Knowledge Test has a weightage of 94.5%. Candidates with an NCC certificate will get an extra three marks. A weightage of 2.5 marks is given for socio-economic criteria.
In the physical test, male candidates must run 2.5 km in 12 minutes. Female candidates must run 1 km in 6 minutes.
