NEW DELHI: Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) has enhanced its international educational footprint by signing a renewed MoU with Global Cyber University (GCU) of South Korea. The signing ceremony took place at the Apgujeong Seoul Learning Centre, marking a significant step in Indo-Korean educational collaboration.
The new three-year agreement extends the original partnership, which initially focused on credit exchanges for “Brain Education Meditation” courses. This agreement now includes broader initiatives such as cultural exchanges and the establishment of a global brain education centre in India.
Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chancellor of HITS, expressed pride in the partnership, noting that it has fostered meaningful academic and humanitarian impact since its inception in 2020. “The establishment of a global brain education center represents our commitment to innovative educational approaches for our students,” he said.
GCU President Gong Byeong-yeong also highlighted the potential for further collaboration, suggesting future joint seminars on topics like AI in education, sustainable Earth initiatives, and the future of humanity.
The partnership also includes cultural exchange initiatives, with the HITS delegation visiting K-pop promotion center ‘POP-KON’ and the Ilchi Art Hall, renowned for hosting BTS’ debut showcase. This collaboration reflects a dynamic blend of academic and cultural exchange between India and South Korea.
