The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an advisory concerning Aadhaar authentication for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 registration process. The NTA has reported receiving complaints from candidates encountering technical difficulties during the JEE Main 2025 registration process due to a discrepancy between the name on their Aadhaar card and their class 10th education certificate. In response to this, NTA has made minor amendments to the online application process and has stated the steps to be followed to overcome the challenge. The registration window for JEE Main 2025 started on October 28, 2024 and will close on November 22, 2024, at 9 PM.

- Close the pop-up window: If a name mismatch message appears during Aadhaar authentication, click the “X” button to close the pop-up.
- Enter name as per Aadhaar: A new window will open; input your name exactly as it appears on your Aadhaar card.
- System captures both names: The system will record the name from the educational certificate and the name entered from the Aadhaar card.
- Proceed with the application: This will allow you to continue with the online application process.
