Kraven the Hunter sets new India release for January
R-rated Marvel flick Kraven The Hunter has deferred its India release to 2025. The film, initially scheduled for December 13, will now land in Indian theatres on January 1, 2025, Sony Pictures Entertainment India announced on Monday.
An origin story of the titular Marvel supervillain, Kraven The Hunter stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless gangster father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), starts him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences.
Directed by J.C. Chandor, the film also stars Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott and Russell Crowe. Nivola essays the Spider-Man villain Aleksei Sytsevich, better known as The Rhino, in the film.
Chandor, known for his work on Margin Call and A Most Violent Year, directs from a screenplay by Richard Wenk, Art Marcum, and Matt Holloway. The film is part of the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters, following recent projects like Madame Web and the upcoming Venom: The Last Dance.
Kraven The Hunter will release in India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
