‘RRR: Behind & Beyond’: Makers of ‘RRR’ confirm documentary on the SS Rajamouli directorial
Director SS Rajamouli’s hit film RRR is back on the news! The makers of the film have confirmed that the story of how the film came to fruition is being made into a documentary.

The X profile of the film shared a tweet mentioning that the documentary is titled RRR: Behind & Beyond along with a poster featuring the filmmaker seated atop a slew of film reels.
More details on the documentary including the release date and streaming platform are expected to be announced soon.
The 2022 film, helmed by Rajamouli, is co-written by him along with his father V Vijayendra Prasad. Produced by D. V. V. Danayya under DVV Entertainment, the film starred N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani and Ray Stevenson.
The film’s soundtrack and background score were composed by M. M. Keeravani, with cinematography by K. K. Senthil Kumar and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. Sabu Cyril is the film’s production designer while V. Srinivas Mohan supervised the visual effects.
The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the Oscar for Best Original Song, making it the first song from an Indian film, as well as the first from an Asian film, to win in this category. RRR became the first and only Indian feature film to win an Academy Award.
The film also became the third Indian film and first Telugu film to receive nominations at the Golden Globe Awards, including Best Foreign Language Film, and won Best Original Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’, making it the first Indian as well as the first Asian nominee to win the award.
RRR also won Best Foreign Language Film and Best Song awards at the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards. At the 69th National Film Awards, the film won six awards, including Best Popular Feature Film, Best Music Direction for Keeravani and Best Male Playback Singer for Kaala Bhairava for the ‘Komuram Bheemudo’ track.
