Bollywood star Salman Khan received a new threat reportedly connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, late Thursday night.
The message, sent to the Mumbai Traffic Control Room around midnight, warned of severe consequences for a songwriter allegedly tied to lyrics that associate the actor with the jailed gangster.
The threat warned, “The songwriter’s condition will be such that he will no longer be able to write songs. If Salman Khan has the courage, let him protect them.”
This marks the fifth threat directed at the actor in recent weeks, increasing concerns for his safety. Due to the recurring nature of these threats, security measures around Salman Khan have been significantly tightened, with Mumbai Police actively investigating the source and intent behind the latest warning.
Previously, on 5 November, Mumbai Police received a threat message purportedly from the Bishnoi gang, demanding that Khan either apologise or pay ₹5 crore to ensure his safety.
The message, reportedly sent via WhatsApp, stated, “If he wants to stay alive, he should apologize at our temple or pay ₹5 crore. Otherwise, we will kill him; our gang remains active.”
This latest message follows another received by the Mumbai Traffic Control Room earlier in the week, in which a demand for a ₹2 crore ransom was made. Additionally, on 24 October, police had detained a man from Jamshedpur who allegedly threatened Khan in Bishnoi’s name, also demanding ₹5 crore in ransom.
Mumbai Police has registered a case against an unknown individual and is taking the threats seriously as they work to secure the actor’s safety and uncover those responsible.
