SC takes note of ’controversial’ remarks by Allahabad HC judge during VHP event, seeks details

The Supreme Court of India has taken note of reports quoting a recent speech by an Allahabad High Court judge. The apex court has also sought details from the HC and the matter is under consideration. Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav had sparked outrage after delivered a speech “endorsing the Uniform Civil Code” and allegedly making controversial remarks perceived as targeting the Muslim community.
