Jammu, December 23: During the ongoing nine-day-long Shree Gou Gopal Mahayagya held at the holy Samadhi Sthal of Shri Dawarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj at Sohanjana Marh here today, Chairman Team Jammu Zorawar Singh Jamwal delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing that devotion and spirituality are powerful tools to guide the youth away from drugs and towards a life of purpose and positivity.
Addressing the gathering, Zorawar Singh Jamwal stated, “Drug addiction is a growing menace that destroys lives and the very fabric of society. A life rooted in devotion and spirituality not only keeps us away from harmful influences but also provides the inner strength and clarity needed to face life’s challenges. The teachings of great saints like Shri Dawarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj remind us of the importance of self-discipline, service, and spiritual growth as the foundation for a meaningful life.”
While appreciating Shri Gangadhar Ji maharaj for organising such a mega religious and spiritual programme every year, Zorawar Singh Jamwal urged the youth to embrace spiritual practices such as prayer, meditation, and community service to cultivate resilience and purpose. “Devotion to higher values and a connection with the divine can fill the void that often leads people to substance abuse. A spiritual lifestyle keeps the mind focused, the body healthy, and the soul at peace,” he said.
Team Jammu Chief also called upon parents, educationists, and community leaders to actively promote spiritual and devotional activities among the younger generation. “Guiding our youth toward spiritual practices is not just a personal responsibility but a social obligation. Together, we can create an environment where our children find joy and purpose in devotion rather than falling prey to the evils of addiction,” he added.
The Shree Gou Gopal Mahayagya, held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Shri Dawarika Nath Shastri Ji Maharaj, brought together devotees and spiritual leaders from across the region. The event featured spiritual discourses, devotional practices, and community initiatives, embodying the saint’s ideals of compassion, harmony, and service.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal’s message resonated deeply with attendees, inspiring them to embrace the devotional and spiritual way of life as a powerful means to combat drug abuse and foster a healthier, more harmonious society.
