Srinagar youth dies of cardiac arrest on way to Pahalgam

Anantnag, Nov 19: A 20-year-old youth from Srinagar died of cardiac arrest while driving near Aishmuqam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday.

He was identified as Azan Yousuf Dar, son of Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Dar of Hyderpora, Srinagar.

Reports said that Azan, an MBBS student in Bangladesh, was traveling to Pahalgam with friends when he suddenly complained of severe chest pain.

He was rushed to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Azan’s father, Dr. Yousuf, is the Associate Professor and Head of Ophthalmology at Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag.

Expressing grief over the demise, the Principal of GMC Anantnag, Professor Dr. Rukhsana Najeeb, extended condolences to the bereaved family.

In her message, she said, “The entire faculty and staff of GMC Anantnag stand in solidarity with the family of Dr. Yousuf during this difficult time.”
