Plans ahead

Aboard the ISS, Sunita Williams is preparing for a significant milestone in 2025 as the astronaut is slated to partake in a spacewalk as part of the Expedition 72 crew of the ISS. As she prepares for the upcoming mission, she is busy making sure that her spacesuit, life support systems and configuring equipment are in top condition, all of which are necessary for the spacewalk.

Currently, she is involved in space research which involves disease detection and carrying out experiments in space physics. Caught amid adverse weather conditions, her SpaceX Dragon spacecraft is facing delays leading to postponement of her return to Earth until February 2025.
