In an old interview, Jaya Bachchan spoke about whether she would be okay if the duo (AB- Rekha) worked together again.
To this, the Guddi actress told People magazine in 2008, “No, why should I mind? But I feel it will be more like a sensation than actual work. And that’s a pity because one will miss the opportunity of seeing them together. Both of them probably realise it will go beyond work.”
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan have been married for 50 years now. But fans love to see them together every time they make an appearance – be it at an event or on screen. In his latest post on X (formerly Twitter), Big B has dropped a picture with Jaya Bachchan as he holds the umbrella for her. It seems like the duo were shooting together for an ad and the rains ruined it.

His tweet read, “T 5074 – …. and the rain it raineth every day .. even on set at work ..” While Big is seen holding the umbrella, the ‘Mili’ actress has a box of ‘laddoos’ in her hand.
Netizens loved this image and dropped hearts! Many also joked that every man is the same in front of his wife, even if it’s the great Big B!
Bachchan also dropped some BTS stills from the shoot on his blog and he wrote, “..and the rain it raineth all day long .. on the work too .. umbrellas galore among all the artists as they wade through the waters .. and most of them enjoying the deed .. “
He further added that the rains can sometimes cause a lot of damage if they cause floods. “It is the blessing after the hot summer months .. but apart from the awaited agricultural .. it brings devastation and floods, ruining the landscape and causing the pain that they who suffer go through .. each year the scenario keeps repeating itself .. sad .. helpless .. It is difficult to describe the ruin caused .. but we pray that all gets well and in the wellness of all .. our prayers 🙏”
On work front, Bachchan was last seen in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, for which he is getting a lot of love and appreciation. Meanwhile, Jaya Bachchan was last seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
