Traffic Police seize vehicle after student caught performing stunt driving in Baramulla

Srinagar, Nov 18: Traffic Police in Baramulla on Monday took swift action after a video clip surfaced showing a third-semester B.A. student, performing dangerous stunts on the road.

The officials said that the vehicle in question has been seized while its RC has been recommended for cancellation, and driving license of the driver for suspension.

“Today on 18.11.2024, SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir received a video clip from senior formation showing an individual indulging in stunt driving using vehicle bearing Registration No. JK01AQ-5272,” the officials said.

They also said that acting swiftly, the said individual was identified as one Faisal Fayaz Gojree, son of Fayaz Ahmad Gojree, resident of Iqbal Colony, Pattan, Baramulla. Accordingly, vehicle in question was seized by DySP, Traffic Baramulla under relevant sections of law and driving license of the said stunt driver has been recommended for suspension, besides RC of the vehicle used in the act has been recommended for cancellation.

The officials further said that as the stunt driver is a student of BA 3rd semester, he only has been counseled and given a chance to safeguard his career. However, his driving license has been recommended for suspension so that he may not be allowed to drive any kind of vehicle till further maturity in his behavior.
