Tragedies while making reels in UP: 2 run over by train, 1 feared drowned | India News
KANPUR: : The strange obsession to make reels claimed three lives in UP’s Etawah and Hamirpur on Friday. Two persons were run over by a train while making reels on a railway track in Ekdil area of Etawah, while a 25- year-old man was feared drowned in Hamirpur after he jumped into a river from a bridge to film the stunt for his social media account. The two deceased in Etawah were identified as Anuj Kumar (20) and Ranjeet Kumar (16), residents of Hiranpur village.
“The duo stepped out of their homes early Friday morning and went to the Kanpur-Tundla section of Delhi-Howrah rail track. They got so busy making reels that they failed to notice the speeding Humsafar Express, and were run over by the train,” said SHO of Ekdil police station, Bhimsen- .“Anuj and Ranjeet worked as painters in Ahmedabad and had returned home for Diwali,” the SHO said.
Diwali celebrations turned into mourning for the family of Ramkumar Pal of Gohani village in Hamirpur, too. Employed at a private company in Gurugram, he had come home on Thursday evening to celebrate the festival
