‘UI’ trailer: Upendra predicts an alarming future

The trailer for the upcoming Pan-Indian film, UI, starring Upendra, was released by the makers on December 02, 2024. Upendra is also the director of the highly-anticipated movie.

Originally made in Kannada, the movie will also release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam on December 20, 2024. The film is co-produced by KP Sreekanth and G Manoharan under the banners Venus Entertainment and Lahari Films LLP respectively.

Going by the trailer, UI is set in the future. The film shows people’s sufferings from the impact of global warming, inflation, AI, COVID-19, and wars. Upendra seems to play the character of a power-hungry authoritarian in the movie. The actor-filmmaker doesn’t reveal much about the plot in the two minutes and 15 seconds trailer.

Mounted on a huge budget, UI is touted to be a VFX-heavy project. It has been in the making for two years now. With the music scored by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, the film has cinematography by H.C. Venu and editing by Vijay Raj BG.

UI is set to face a box office clash against Max, starring Sudeep. The actioner, helmed by Vijay Kartikeyaa and produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu, will release on December 25, 2024.
