Vicky Kaushal reveals he first reaches out to his father Sham Kaushal for advice and then his wife Katrina Kaif: ‘Dad is updated with box office’ | Hindi Movie News
Vicky Kaushal, who is currently basking in the success of his recently-released film ‘Bad Newz’, doesn’t have to search far for guidance on career advice. In a recent interview, the actor disclosed that he can rely on his father Sham for advice regarding scripts and box office performance.
During a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Vicky shared he first reach out to his father for advice and then his wife and actress Katrina Kaif.He shared, “If it is script-related, I will first go to my dad and then Katrina.” The actor further revealed that the veteran action director enjoys keeping track of box office numbers and film trade, particularly Vicky’s, and enjoys keeping himself updated.
He stated, “After the film’s release, I go to my dad because he understands trade and box office. He is updated about which film is earning how much money at the box office. Sometimes, he would tell me, ‘Dekho itna hua,’ and I would go like, ‘Accha itna karliya?”
Sham likes to monitor every movie’s box office performance, but he pays a lot of attention to the profits Vicky’s films are bringing in very minutely. He revealed, “He would know when a single ticket also gets sold.”
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Chhava’, which is based on the life of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
Bad Newz, Vicky Kaushal’s most recent film, has so far made Rs 61.48 crore at the domestic box office. The film also stars Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk in the key roles.
