World Chess Championship 2024, Gukesh vs Ding Game 14 LIVE: Match enters final game with scores even

Good afternoon from a humid Sentosa, where the World championship could either see the final day, or the penultimate day. If Ding Liren or D. Gukesh wins, it will be all over. The winner will be the World champion. But if it’s a draw – there have been nine of them so far, the latest one occurring yesterday – we will have to come back for a tie-breaker, which will have games played in speed chess. 

Gukesh had an excellent chance to possibly force a win, but he missed a key move and Ding was at his defensive best again. Today, Ding will have white pieces. In spite of all those draws, this World championship has produced some exciting chess. 

Will we get another game of great chess? And more importantly, will there be a World champion today?
